IDEAS

When i got the Assignment to create a design based and or for a place in stockholm, i Immediately thought about the fridhemsplan subway station that i used to take to school daily, since it has a beautiful design and color range. The specific spot of the station i chose was this bench area and the wall behind it, for me it awoke a lot of ideas and thoughts bout what i wanted to make based of it. I wanted to Incorporate the green color of the bench, the light and the reflection it has on the wall next to it, as well as the naturally carved wall behind it; the wall reminded me of the shape of a womans body and its curves that naturally concave and convex.

PROCESS

I created my design using Adobe illustrator, photoshop and a webpage where i could Pointillize images. after sourcing the Images (below) from Various sources, Then i started Editing them and putting together the finished design. I began with creating the green Upside down l taking a direct influence in the benches light part making, while the green gradient takes from the reflecting Light on the wall next to it. after that i added the text and the cherry blossom branch. The focus and main inspiration of the Purple section, is the stone wall and its Feminine forms. mixing together the picture of the womans stomach and the bright lights of the industrial photograph, After blurring and fading the mixed image, as well as adding a purple overlay and the flower on the right side, the design was done.
